I was in a tree when a physiologist told me to get out. Instinctively I climbed higher into the tree. He tried to comply with me but I jumped and started to flap my arms and flew. He called the cops and I was a fugitive. I was later brought into the hospital after blacking out. The physiologist visited me and said I was mentally unstable and had a lot of mental disease. I denied it because I knew I wasn’t crazy. So I escaped the hospital and broke out of my restraints. It was late at night and I ran into the forest. I would climb a tree or hill then jump off and fly. My sister was with me when I stole a car and drove it away from the hospital. We were stopped by cops and I sped off. She was later caught by the cops but I escaped into the woods still a fugitive and on the run.
Dreams can be deeply personal and often reflect our subconscious thoughts, fears, and desires. Here’s a possible interpretation of your dream:
Climbing and Flying: Climbing a tree and then flying can symbolize a desire for freedom and escape. It may represent a yearning to rise above challenges or pressures in your life, seeking a higher perspective on your circumstances.
Authority Figures: The presence of the physiologist indicates a confrontation with authority or societal norms, particularly around mental health. Your instinct to climb higher, rather than comply, suggests a resistance to being judged or labeled by others. It may reflect feelings of being misunderstood or wrongly categorized.
Being a Fugitive: The theme of being a fugitive could symbolize feelings of guilt, shame, or the need to escape something in your waking life – whether that's an obligation, expectation, or a part of yourself that you feel is being restrained. This can also represent a struggle with your own identity and how you perceive yourself versus how others perceive you.
Hospital and Mental Health: The hospital represents vulnerability and concern about mental health issues. Your denial about being “mentally unstable” suggests a fierce sense of self-awareness or pride. You may be grappling with inner conflicts about your mental state or how you're coping with life's pressures.
Escape and the Forest: Running away into the woods can indicate a desire to retreat from reality or to find solace and clarity away from everyday stresses. The forest may symbolize the unknown – a place of exploration, self-discovery, or even fear, suggesting you're on a journey to understand something deeper within yourself.
Family Connection: Your sister being involved in the escape might signify a bond or a shared sense of understanding. It could represent your support system or a desire for exploration with someone close to you.
Rebellion: The act of stealing a car and fleeing indicates a rebellious spirit and a strong desire for autonomy. This could relate to a broader context of feeling constrained by societal expectations, family responsibilities, or personal limitations.
Overall, this dream might be highlighting your struggles with identity, societal pressures, and a quest for freedom and self-understanding. You may want to explore these feelings further in your waking life, particularly regarding how you relate to authority and how you perceive your mental health.
